What does Utility permit include?

Utility permit includes:

Many residential and commercial properties require from you to show the utilities on a site plan, making it much more detailed. They require you to show your well, your septic tanks, your water lines etc.

What is zoning permit?

The zoning permit is generally first process in development process. It follows the zoning code. The zoning code regulates how structure is fit into the community. It regulates setbacks, types of uses, design, height, etc. Cities are divided in zoning districts. Each zoning district has its own regulations. For instance, the zoning that applies for a residential district is different than the zoning that applies for a commercial district. You will need a zoning permit before you get your Building permit.

What is rental permit?

If you’re looking to rent your house out to somebody and collect rent money, you will need rental permit. In many states, collecting rental money without a proper license is considered illegal. You will most likely need either a rental license, business license, landlord license or a combination.

You will most likely have to file a building permit with the local authorities. A government inspector will come out to perform a routine inspection to ensure that the home is suitable for occupancy. If the inspector finds any violations, you will most likely have to correct them by making changes to the things he points out.
